Absolutely amazing......wow!
Dont know why V&A up loaded this as Victoria and Albert is a museum in London which is WOKE !!!! Billy Connolly is as far away from WOKE as the Sun is from Earth. Thank you anyway V&A, showing our lovable Billy in his twilight years . Never thought I would.
Hi Billy , Thank you for a million laughs , The first time I seen one of your shows was late 70s early 80s in the days of the banana boots , The big yin name and when you met Pamela ..You made me laugh back then and Thanks to video,CDs , UA-cam etc we are still laughing today ..In my eyes and millions of others you are the one and only windswept and interesting funniest man on the planet, I hope that you get an extra 5 minutes on earth for everyone you have made laugh, if this happens you will live forever....I wish you happiness , strength and good health for you and the family..
What a marvelous time that would have been. ❤
Simply beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!! ❤
She was truly amazing. Where would British fashion be now, without her designs ? RIP Mary Quant. 😢
I have enjoyed all of his movie appearances....especially when he played John Brown with Judy Dench. Another of .y favorites was his portrayal of the scientist in Limoney Snickets, he was wonderful.
Amazing. Thank you Ben.
lol. Scottish camo.

I use were alot if her clothes back in the 60s ..❤
50 years ago this was a hit, colors, material, designs, she's definitaly a big one in Fashion Land.
What a fun time that would have been to see and admire great fun fashion!
Quant, oh yes. Great no nonsense sensual designs. In those days I made two of her dresses, I believe via Butterick Patterns. Thought I was the spitting image of Patti Boyd. Thank you, Mary Quant.
He was yapping
Schrager is fascinating
Slàinte mhath mo charaidean!
I love them.
Red ❤love
I own all her books bar her autobiography. Great writer, you can tell she was raised by teachers, excellent way of explaining things in an engaging, memorable way, while being very precise.
Eyeliner for men has religious significance in Muslim countries but associated with religious men only which to be fair are a majority
For me personally Dior and his New Look were not revolutionary. They were reactionary. The designs were throwbacks to the time his mother was young and dressed like the upper class, wealthy woman she was in the 1900s and 1910s. The New Look brought back restrictive lingerie and the concept of woman as display object. To me, Mary Quant liberated the body from all that. She was the post-WWII revolutionary designer. Her loose fitting, youthful styles allowed a wide range of body movements needed for the lifestyle and dancing style popular in the 1960s. Not all the loose styles look great now: sometimes they look cookie cutter like. The thing is, though, the styles defined a younger generation of consumers who had money to spend. No longer did wealthy upper class women define fashion. Now there were younger peope influencing the trends.
I doubt hairdressers today could do any of the haircuts from the 60s and the 70s......even the 80s......at least here in the USA...😢. We can't even have the same quality of fabric today....I'm so glad we still have her clothing to look upon ❤
At 1:01 on the right of the picture in red, is that our narrator?
Gouache is NOT a mixture of watercolour and acrylic paint. Other than that, great video 👍

My aunt worked in a knitwear factory in Scotland and Mary came as a young designer to as for sample knitwear
I would love to sit with Billy and just listen to his stories with a cup of coffee or tea.
Wouldn't that be just tickety boo! 😂
THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND MORE !!!
He speaks the truth.
God bless Billy Connolly the man who would have stopped woke in its tracks by highlighting the absurdity of the whole nonsense.
Mad respect for a truly mad man!!
Mad man?…..Intelligent talented man. If you disagree tell me.
@@68blues Billy is the best! He just looks like a mad man.

I was a schoolgirl in the 60s but I saved up and bought one Mary Quant dress. It was a lime green shift dress with a wide belt at the hip. I felt like a fab chick when I wore it!
BIBA ?
It is a great meeting but the host should have greeted and thanked the artists better before moving to the next one🙏🏼
Great idea!
❤ I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation, thank you for sharing it with us
This was a great interview to watch - thanks!
It makes me sick I'm in the middle of the US and will never get to see these stunning exhibits 😢
